Please find below details of the questions usually asked by our dinghy customers.  If you cannot see the answer to a question you have please do not hesitate to call our marine insurance team on 0344 892 1321

Q. Am I covered for dinghy racing?
A. Yes, if you opt for Premier’s Gold cover you will be insured for racing at club level, Open Meetings and National, European and World Championship events. If you choose Silver, you'll be covered for racing at club level.

Q. Is there a deduction if the mast is broken?
A. We deduct only the policy excess. In the event of the mast being broken, we would aim to settle the full cost of the replacement mast - less the policy excess.

Q. Can I leave my boat at my sailing club?
A. Our policy covers your boat when it is left at the club - providing arrangements have been made to secure it. Any equipment that can be removed, such as sails and rudders, should be kept in secure storage. If the trailer is secured with an approved wheel clamp or ball hitch then cover is extended to this whilst the boat is stored at the sailing club.

Q. I only use my dinghy at my sailing club and I don't race. What cover is best for me?
A. If you don't race at all we suggest that our Bronze cover would be most suitable for you as it provides cover for your dinghy - without cover for racing events. It's a lower level of cover at a lower premium.

Q. I would like to purchase the additional legal expenses cover for £5. How do I do this?
A. You can purchase this at the outset using the quote and buy system or alternatively, you can contact us online or speak to an adviser to add it to your policy.

Q. Where can I find more information about payment options, including paying by direct debit.
A. If you want to know more about our monthly payment option, please call us on 0344 892 1321.
